Finally another update. I have completed 6 of the 12 sections on the Runekeeper by Dragon Dreams.
Here is my progress on this as of today. I have started on the 7th section, the Minstrel.

Has it been almost a month since I posted an update on my Challenge pieces ?? Looking back, I see my last post was the day after the Super Bowl and that was February 6th !!
I have been busy stitching on several things including a piece that wasn’t in my Challenge list. This cute little needle book by Teresa Wentzler.
On the Challenge, Project # 11 was from the Just Cross Stitch October magazine. It is by Heart Strings and is titles Trick or Treat Tree. The little decorations are stitched separately and fused to wool felt, then tacked onto the tree giving a 3 dimensional look. I have ordered 6 tiny candy corn buttons from my LNS to add to the tree branches…
Also finished is Project #6 ~ Glory Bee’s Flying Monkeys. It was stitched on lime green Cashel linen and has a cute little Bat button attached below the broom.
Then for Project #3 – Stitchy Kitty’s Paws and Stripes is finished. It has a little American Flag print heart attached on the center paw. Isn’t it cute??
I am currently working on Project #9 Dragon Dream’s Runekeeper. As shown here, I have completed 4 of the 12 squares, which include The Runekeeper (or Wizard), The Seeker, The Minstrel and The Dragon.
That makes 7 of the 15 projects started the first 15 days of the year that I have completed stitching. Now to decide how to finish them ?!? Of the 7 only 1 has been finished, finished and that is the Frogging Scissors Keeper… I really don’t have a wonderful place to display my work so I have n a very large plastic “Tote” full of stitched up and un-finished cross stitch! What to do—What to do??
How about them Packers?? I love a good football game that comes down to the last few minutes, and Green Bay pulled it out. While most of the town I live in are Steeler’s fans (and no I don’t live in Pittsburgh) we were pulling for the Packers. --of course Payton and his Indy Colts lost out in the playoffs—.
I stitched some during the game (after eating pizza and the obligatory Corona). Did manage to finish project #5 ~ Glendon Place – Web of Stash.
I stitched this on 28 Ct. “Sand” Cashel Linen using the recommended Weeks Dye Works overdyed threads.
We got a new scanner/printer and the scan of this is so much better than snapping it with my old Olympus camera, which is about toast. Plans were to get a new camera when sometime in the next few weeks.
Day 3’s project is the cutest little scissors case and I just love the wording…I Don’t Do Frogging….I Do Reverse Stitching… I think I will adopt this as my theme of rippin out stitches when those little errors in counting occur.
Here is a snap of the two sections that will be stitched together with a ribbon threaded through scissors. I just love the polka dot lining fabric. It is really a neat little concept. I would love to keep these but they will be a gift to one of my fellow stitchers.
Here is a little update on my Glendon Place Witches Wheel. It is stitched all in black DMC threads and when finished, will be embellished with several colors of beads. It has been fun watching the piece take shape, but me thinks it will be a while before I see anything close to a finish.
Today, January 30, I completed he first of my 15 projects. Project #4 ~ Be A Witch by Shepherd’s Bush is the 10th in the B-Attitudes series. I really love them all, but being a fan of Halloween, this is one I had to have!
I have stitched this on 28 Ct. off-white Evenweave using DMC Threads. As you can see from the above snap, I need to get a pumpkin, cat, tombstone and 2 little star buttons to embellish with. I guess that will require a trip to my LNS. I hope I will have a little will power because last time I was there, I found several things I must have!!
Here is a snap of the completed piece.
Moving on, I pulled out project #1 ~ Glendon Place’s Witches Wheel.
And wouldn’t you know it, I was attacked by:
I spent 45 minutes rippin out a large section cause I was off by one stitch! Don’t you just love it when that happens??!!#%^&@!!!
I think this piece is gonna require a lot of froggin along the way.
I got back to stitching on my Challenge projects the last couple of days and have been working on the Dragon Dreams ~ Runekeeper. Another quick snap of the chart:
And todays stitching. I have completed the Runekeeper and The Seeker:
